This goofy portrait represents my life and personality, which have been extremely influenced by my family. Sushi is not only my favorite food, but symbolizes my relationship with my family as a single roll but we are all defined as individual pieces.
This piece is very creative in how she uses sushi to demonstrate how she does not feel whole without her family, dog, and other staples such as food. The choice of a primarily white and black piece could show that she either likes or dislikes things. And those parts in color are key. The three colors for sushi condiments are also apparent in the things she likes. It is as if the sushi is her canvas and the condiments part of her paints.
